Boy Group Featuring Controversial “Nepo Baby” Trainee Thrown Into Limbo

The debut of Ha Mingi, who gained K-Pop fans’ attention as the chaebol nephew of the founder of a well-known Korean Shinjeon Tteokbokki franchise, has been temporarily postponed.

On February 3, 2026 (KST), Modenberry Korea stated, “As part of a comprehensive operational review following changes in internal management, we have decided to temporarily pause launch preparations and focus on training in order to further enhance the overall completeness of the group Air100, which Ha Mingi is a part of.”

This decision was made alongside a restructuring of the management system, with priority placed on the artist’s long-term growth and the team’s overall quality. At present, prospective members and trainees are focusing on training to strengthen their vocal and performance skills and individual capabilities.

The management agency reassured fans, “This is not a disbandment or the end of the project, but rather an internal adjustment phase to ensure stronger preparation. Future launch schedules and activity plans will be discussed again once internal reorganization is complete.”
