“Single’s Inferno 5” Kim Min Gee Gives Choi Mina Sue A “Reality Check”

Netflix‘s fifth season of Single’s Inferno has introduced a new cast of entertaining singles, and one of the most divisive is Choi Mina Sue.

Mina Sue is an Australian-born beauty queen who has won major pageants, including the 22nd Miss Earth pageant. She also briefly appeared in a few K-Dramas: Law and the City, (2025), Melo Movie (2025), and DNA Lover (2024). Hate her or love her, Mina Sue is one of the biggest reasons why viewers are glued to their screens this season.

After the first four episode aired, some viewers began to criticize Mina Sue’s so-called “messy” behaviour and label her the villain of Single’s Inferno 5. In particular, some viewers don’t like how Mina Sue has spoken about the other female singles or how she interacts with the male singles.

Both Mina Sue and Min Gee have a connection with one of the show’s most popular men, Song Seung Il, which has caused friction on-screen as well as within the Single’s Inferno fandom as viewers root for Team Min Gee or Team Mina Sue.

In one of the latest episodes, Min Gee had a straightforward conversation with Mina Sue, where she told Mina Sue that she “doesn’t know” herself.

On Reddit, viewers expressed their admiration for Min Gee for speaking her mind and being direct with Mina Sue. Some are hoping that Mina Sue will see this “reality check” as an opportunity to grow.
