Female Idol’s Cosmetic Procedure Ends In Terrifying Burn Marks And Excruciating Pain
Former AOA member Kwon Mina has revealed that a cosmetic laser procedure left her with severe burn injuries, intense pain, and lasting emotional distress.

According to Kwon Mina, the incident occurred on January 24, 2026, when she decided to undergo a laser skin-lifting procedure. She explained that she had a busy month in January, full of events and commitments, and she wanted to look her best.
However, what was meant to be a routine beauty treatment quickly turned into a traumatic experience.
When I woke up, I was in such tearing pain that I started crying. When I looked in the mirror, my skin had been burned and peeled off layer by layer, curling up, with oozing fluid and blisters. I was just completely devastated.

Mina shared photos showing burn injuries on her face and neck, stating she was later diagnosed with deep second-degree burns. She said the pain was far worse than she ever imagined.
She also expressed frustration with the clinic’s explanation. According to her, the doctor claimed there were no issues during the procedure and suggested the only possible cause was a defective device tip, while also saying that a faulty tip would not have worked at all.
The director said that nothing went wrong during the procedure. They said the only possible cause seemed to be a defective Shrink tip, so I asked whether the tip hadn’t been checked. They replied that if the tip were defective, the device wouldn’t have worked at all.
Then what was the cause?

She added that she was a regular at that particular clinic, yet she claims that no new consent forms, no skin consultation, and no proper explanation of risks or side effects were provided before the procedure. She also pointed out that the consent form she had previously signed was for a different type of lifting treatment, with different effects and risks.
Beyond the physical damage, the incident has taken a serious toll on her mental health.
Because of this, I started having panic attacks, and eventually my mom found out about the condition of my face. She cried. That really hurt.
And as I postponed or canceled schedules, I found myself saying ‘I’m sorry‘ every day until I started crying. There are also people I couldn’t even contact, and to them I want to say I’m truly sorry. I really wanted to work hard together.

The idol also said that she has no idea if scars will remain from her burn marks: “The diagnosis is deep second-degree burns. Burns really are incredibly painful.”
