SBS Unveils Packed 2026 Drama Lineup
SBS has unveiled its diverse 2026 drama lineup packed with various works.
First, the SBS romance genre, which proved its strength last year with Love Scout, Dynamite Kiss, and Would You Marry Me, is filled with romances of different styles again in 2026.
Sold Out On You is a dreamy, heartwarming romantic comedy about Matthew Lee, a farmer juggling three jobs, and top show host Dam Ye Jin, who suffers from severe insomnia, meeting day and night nonstop. The pairing of Ahn Hyo Seop, who created hits with the Dr. Romantic series, Lovers of the Red Sky, and Business Proposal, and Chae Won Bin, who won the Best New Actress Award in the TV category at the 61st Baeksang Arts Awards for Doubt, is generating buzz.
Brave New World is a hate romance between the notorious Joseon villainess Shin Seo Ri and South Korea’s unscrupulous chaebol Cha Se Gye, drawing anticipation with the casting of popular actors Lim Ji Yeon and Heo Nam Jun. In particular, attention is focused on Lim Ji Yeon’s new transformation as she takes on a dual role playing Shin Seo Ri, a little-known Korean actress possessed by Joseon’s infamous villainess Kang Dan Sim, and the dynamic hate-love chemistry between Lim Ji Yeon and Heo Nam Jun.
Also, Nine to Six starring Park Min Young and Yook Sungjae is a relatable romance portraying modern people at a crossroads between work and love, with growing interest in the chemistry between its two distinctly different characters.
The genre lineup has been further strengthened. Phantom Lawyer is a peculiar and warm-hearted adventure about lawyer Shin Yi Rang, who can see ghosts, and elite lawyer Han Na Hyun, who resolve the grievances of very special clients through the law. Yoo Yeon Seok, transforming into a lawyer who can see and be possessed by ghosts, and Esom, playing a top-notch lawyer with a perfect win rate, are set to deliver a divinely entertaining new wave of SBS’s refreshing courtroom dramas, heightening expectations.
Manager Kim tells the story of an ordinary father and common man who reveals a secret he must never disclose in order to save his beloved daughter, risking everything. Adapted from the popular Naver webtoon of the same name, the drama features So Ji Sub, Choi Dae Hoon, and Yoon Kyung Ho, promising the birth of a new-dimensional dad universe full of spectacular action, lively bromance, and deep paternal love.
Doctor X: Age of the White Mafia is a medical noir featuring doctor “Doctor X” Gye Soo Jeong, who proves what it means to be a doctor solely through ability and performs surgery on the corrupt medical power entrenched in nepotism. Directed by Lee Jung Rim of VIP, Revenant, and As You Stood By, in collaboration with up-and-coming writer Pyeon Seong Geun, and starring a powerful cast including Kim Ji Won, Lee Jung Eun, Son Hyun Joo, and Kim Woo Seok—actors acclaimed for both talent and box office appeal—expectations are high.
SBS, known for its trustworthy seasonal drama hits, welcomes back the new entry Flex X Cop 2 after two years. Flex X Cop 2 reunites director Kim Jae Hong and writer Kim Bada, who led season 1, building a solid world again. Actress Jung Eun Chae joins as Ah Bo Hyun’s new investigation partner, raising anticipation for another exhilarating ride.
Finally, Good Partner 2 returns for season 2 after two years, introducing Kim Hye Yoon as Jang Na Ra’s new partner. The final episode of season 1 peaked at a 21% viewership rating (Nielsen Korea), ranking first not only among Friday-Saturday dramas but also among all programs aired that week. It also topped the ratings among the 20–49 age group in the same timeslot, confirming its strong popularity and raising expectations for continued success.
Alongside this, SBS released a relay challenge video featuring the cast under the concept “Ride SBS” to celebrate the “Year of the Red Horse” in 2026. The relay video, directly participated in by the main actors of the 2026 drama lineup during the acting awards filming, naturally amplifies anticipation for each work and captures viewers’ attention.
