Korean Star Embroiled In Controversy After Announcing Marriage To A Girl 13 Years Younger

Recently, dance crew Just Jerk leader Young-J shared on his Instagram account, “Happy New Year. Not much time left,” along with photos taken with his fiancée.

The fiancée, born in 2005, is 13 years younger than him, and the two grew close through their crew activities before developing a romantic relationship. The wedding is scheduled to take place later this month.

However, there were suspicions about their relationship starting when the fiancée was still a minor. The fiancée also shared photos taken with Young-J at her high school graduation ceremony in 2024. Young-J clarified, “We began dating with the approval of her parents after she became an adult.

Additionally, Young-J faced allegations of draft evasion after being diagnosed with a grade 4 mental illness and questions about ongoing treatment. However, the court ruled, “Based on the submitted evidence, it is difficult to consider the military service diagnosis as false,” and acquitted him.

Meanwhile, Just Jerk made history in 2016 by becoming the first Korean team to win the world hip-hop dance competition Body Rock, and later won the Mnet competition program Street Man Fighter.
