While speaking casually with fans, Yeji was seen eating snacks when one of the fans watching commented, telling her to stop. The remark immediately shifted the mood.

Yeji responded by insisting she rarely eats snacks these days and asked fans to believe her. She explained that she only brought them because her blood sugar had dropped and repeatedly reassured fans that she does not eat enough for anyone to worry.

Fan: Let’s start by cutting out snacks.

Yeji: Honestly, I think I’ve said this like five hundred times already. I really don’t eat snacks these days. It’s true, believe me. Seriously, I don’t eat them. I don’t. But today I had no choice but to bring some. My blood sugar dropped too much. I’m serious, really. Please believe me. I truly don’t eat a lot of snacks these days. It’s true. I don’t eat enough for you to be worried about it.

Her response quickly spread across social media platforms, with many expressing frustration over the original comment.

Fans criticized the culture of policing idols’ food intake and questioned why she felt the need to justify eating at all.

Others pointed out that Yeji should never have to apologize for eating and encouraged her to enjoy whatever she wants without guilt.
