Co-Ed Group Under Fire For Allegedly Dropping Racist Slur In New Song
A new project under ChoCo Entertainment is facing heavy backlash after fans accused one of its trainees of using a racist slur in a recently released track.
ChoCo1&2 is a pre-debut trainee team managed by the company. The trainees regularly share practice clips and content on social media as they prepare to debut in two separate groups.
Recently, the company dropped the music video for “GIMME,” a collaboration track featuring four trainees: Yechan, Taejo, Anpan, and Yunjin.
Shortly after the video was released, fans began questioning one of Yechan’s rap lines. While the official lyrics reportedly state that he says “neighbors,” many argue that the pronunciation sounds alarmingly close to the n-word.
