In light of the latest court updates in the dispute between Min Hee Jin and HYBE, past “evidence” of HYBE staff, in particular ILLIT‘s team, hinting at the discord between NewJeans and themselves have come to light.
A viral post on Instiz terms it as “bullying,” with instances such as symbolism in ILLIT’s music video highlighted. In a music video for their comeback after Min had accused ILLIT of plagiarism, ILLIT is seen confronting monsters. The problem fans brought up was that not only were there five monsters, but they were colored the representative colors of the NewJeans members.
With many colors available to use, fans wondered why those five were chosen specifically.

The members also have a scene where they eat the monsters. Another scene in the music video switches to blue hues suddenly as the girls win and the monster drawing is ripped up.
Another point that the post pointed out was how FRANTS, a producer under HYBE, had posted a video where he was kicking a bunny toy. FRANTS worked on ILLIT’s album.

Later on, some ILLIT fans also pointed out that their song “NOT CUTE ANYMORE” references kongguksu, something which they related to NewJeans Minji‘s kalguksu scandal. The words are highly similar, even though kongguksu is soybean noodles while kalguksu is knife-cut noodles.
It’s so slay of them to use the lyrics ‘limited edition kongguksu LOL. I love how BELIFT LAB changed kalguksu to kongguksu.
They also pointed out how Wonhee grabs and throws a bunny in the MV.

With all these points being brought up recently, netizens voice their support for NewJeans.
