Upcoming 2026 K-Movie Builds Anticipation With Its Eerie Premise And Teaser Photos
The Journey to Gyeongju is now set to premiere sometime in 2026, and K-Movie lovers could not be more excited.

The movie, starring A-list actresses like Parasite‘s Lee Jung Eun and Park So Dam, When the Camellia Blooms’ Gong Hyo Jin, and Weak Hero Class 1‘s Lee Yeon, has already received consecutive praise from international film festivals.

At the 45th Hawaii International Film Festival, where it had its world premiere, The Journey to Gyeongju was praised as “a work that skillfully combines dark humor with emotional intensity.”

Gyeongju is dead. It was exactly two days after she had left home, her face full of excitement as she set off on what she said was a school trip.
Because it was his first offense. Because it was an impulsive killing committed while drunk. Because he showed remorse for his actions. At the first trial, the perpetrator received a sentence of only 15 years in prison.
But Ok Sil and her daughters said they did not want harsh punishment and agreed to a settlement, reducing his sentence to 8 years. Then, 8 years later, Ok Sil sets off on a family trip to Gyeongju with her three daughters—Jang Ju, Young Ju, and Dong Ju. Wearing matching family T-shirts, the four appear at first glance like an ordinary, happy mother and daughters on vacation.
But inside the trunk of their car, there is a man.
A slightly unusual mother and her three daughters set off on a two-night, three-day family trip… or rather, a murder trip.
