Recently, a video of Jennie’s interaction with a crowd asking for her signature went viral on X (formerly Twitter), sparking heated criticism over her supposed “attitude” problem. Many felt that Jennie being reluctant to give her autograph to her fans was rude of her.

The discussion has also pivoted to alleged “racist” behavior by the idol. Some netizens posted screenshots of Jennie signing a photocard while avoiding touching the person’s hand, claiming that the move was racially motivated.

However, fans defended Jennie, pointing out that her behavior reflected her frustration with the situation, not prejudice. She was hounded for signatures by people who appeared to be resellers, evident from the stack of photocards that one of them tried to hand her to sign. Fortunately, Jennie’s manager caught it quickly and was able to handle the situation somewhat.
