Popular Actor Reveals He Has Been In A Relationship For 15 Years

In the latest episode of SBS‘s My Little Old Boy, actor Kim Eui Sung—well known and loved for his countless supporting roles across hit K-Dramas and K-Movies—opened up about his 15-year-long relationship and his experience going through two divorces.

Appearing on the show alongside his Taxi Driver co-stars, the 60-year-old actor revealed that he has been dating his girlfriend, who is two years younger than him, for 15 years. When asked about the secret to maintaining such a long relationship, he jokingly replied, “Maybe it’s about pretending you’re dead and staying still. You just have to endure somehow,” drawing laughter.

Kim Eui Sung also shared his thoughts on dating later in life.

I’m very much in favor of meeting someone when you’re older. When you’re young, you fight fiercely over things that aren’t really that big of a deal. But as you get older, you realize those are all things you’ve already fought about before.

After 15 strong years together, Kim Eui Sung said he’s considering making things official with his girlfriend, who’s 2 years younger than him. While he wasn’t sure about marriage after his past failed marriages and divorces, he commented, “My girlfriend and I once argued about not getting married. She wanted to build a proper family.” He added, “As you get older, certain needs come up. If you get sick or something happens, there can be inconveniences, so we’re thinking about legal registration.”
