Korean Man Charged For Sprinkling Female Colleague’s Desk With His Pubic Hair

He was also accused of stalking her and more.

A man in his 50s who placed his pubic hair on a female subordinate’s desk has been forwarded to prosecutors on property damage charges.

On March 17, the Incheon Nonhyeon Police Station announced that they had sent Mr. A, a man in his 50s, to prosecutors without detention on charges of property damage. Mr. A is accused of sprinkling pubic body hair on the desk, mouse, and work uniform of his female subordinate, identified as Ms. B, at an office in Incheon in September of last year, thereby damaging property.

The investigation also revealed that Mr. A had applied foreign substances to Ms. B’s desk and belongings. Despite this, he was only charged with property damage and not sexual harassment. She also sued him for stalking and humiliation.

Ms. B filed a complaint against Mr. A on multiple charges, including violations of the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment of Sexual Crimes, the Stalking Punishment Act, insult, and property damage. However, police only applied the charge of property damage.

“We determined that the other charges did not meet the legal requirements. The property damage charge was applied because there were items that had to be discarded.”
