Drummer-Turned-Actor Reveals His Band’s 2005 Mega-Hit Still Earns Him Money
Hospital Playlist actor Kim Jun Han, who actually made his debut as the drummer of the band izi, spoke about the significant royalties he continues to receive from the group’s mega-hit Sassy Girl Chun Hyang soundtrack, “Emergency Room.”

In the latest episode of actor Yoo Yeon Seok‘s YouTube series, the cast of Mad Concrete Dreams, including Kim Jun Han, guest-starred. At one point, Yoo Yeon Seok brought up how unbelievably popular the song has been.

Yoo Yeon Seok: “Emergency Room” used to always be in the karaoke Top 100, but I heard it’s fallen off recently.
Kim Jun Han: That’s a misunderstanding. As far as I know, it’s still well within the top 20.
In fact, a round of “Guess The Ranking” proved that the 2005 song is still reigning supreme among Korea’s most-sung songs at the noraebang! While Yoo Yeon Seok guessed it dropped out of the Top 100, Jang Da Ah guessed around #80-90, and Lee Jong Won predicted #60-70. Kim Jun Han, however, confidently said it was still within the Top 20—and the result revealed “Emergency Room” being ranked #5 as of March 15, 2026.
Surprised, Yoo Yeon Seok apologized, saying he had made a “major mistake” of doubting the song. Kim Jun Han proudly added, “As far as I know, it has never fallen out of the Top 100 for the past 20 years.” When Lee Jong Won asked whether songs being available in karaoke also generate royalties, Kim Jun Han nodded and replied, “Little by little, but it builds up and certainly ends up helping in life,” drawing attention to the steady income stream.
