Legendary Girl Group Member Admits Her Own Divorce Was Preempted

Former Jewelry member Seo Inyoung opened up candidly about her divorce.

On March 26, she addressed the matter in a Q&A that was uploaded to her YouTube channel. She took on a “reading hate comments” segment, where her marriage and divorce were also brought up.

Reflecting on the time she decided to get married, Seo Inyoung admitted that at that point in time, she just didn’t want to work anymore. She has since learned that she prefers working.

“I didn’t want to work anymore and wanted to run away. I wondered if I could live a normal life without this job. I just wanted to quietly disappear. I think I learned a lot about life through my divorce. In the end, a quiet married life where I do nothing doesn’t suit me. I realized I need to be out there working.”

She also admitted that many had predicted her divorce. Even during her wedding, people had predicted the outcome.

“When I told people I got divorced, they said, ‘Oh, you’re the only one who didn’t know. Everyone thought you’d get divorced at the wedding,’”

As for love, she admitted, “Of course I still dream of it. I’ve never been without a boyfriend. I can’t live without love. Still, dating is the hardest thing.”

Seo Inyoung married a non-celebrity businessman in 2023 but divorced in 2024.
