In her latest YouTube video, the former K-Pop sensation addressed her subscribers’ concerns. In particular, she deeply empathized with a fan who shared, “Every time I look at social media, I end up comparing myself to others, and it’s painful.”

She, too, admitted that she’s not free from the feeling either—especially when she sees other celebrities in their primes.

I wasn’t completely free from those feelings either. When I saw other people’s glamorous lives on social media, I would think, ‘Oh, I used to get invited by that brand too,’ or ‘My life used to be like this too.’ When those thoughts came up, I felt so small and like I had no influence anymore, which made me feel depressed.

However, Yoon Eun Hye revealed that she has since overcome those feelings and developed a new outlook on life. She shared, “At some point, I decided not to dwell on the glory of the past,” adding, “There are so many things to be grateful for in my life now, and I’ve learned to enjoy a sense of ease and to love myself in ways I couldn’t before.”

Everyone lives at their own pace and in their own way, so it’s important to focus on yourself. Instead of comparing, I hope you take time to find things in your life right now to be grateful for.
