Famous Korean Star Confesses To Being Kicked Out Of University
A famous Korean star revealed that she was expelled from Dongduk Women’s University.
On the 2nd, a video titled “Honey~ I’m not going home today♥ Feeling free for the first time in a month after taking care of my family all this time | Hyehwa Daehak-ro, theater recommendations” was posted on the “Byulbitube” YouTube channel.
While walking in Daehak-ro with an acquaintance, singer Byul, who is married to broadcaster Haha, spotted her alma mater’s Performing Arts Center and expressed delight. She explained, “I studied practical music, but I didn’t graduate. To avoid any misunderstanding about falsifying academic credentials, I want to clearly say that I was expelled and did not graduate.”

She added, “I lacked enough attendance days, so my final academic qualification is equivalent to a high school diploma. I wasn’t admitted through special recruitment; I took both the CSAT and practical exams. I entered Dongduk Women’s University based on my ability, but I couldn’t graduate,” drawing attention.
A subtitle read “Balancing studies was difficult due to a hot debut,” suggesting her situation at the time. Byul debuted in 2002 at the age of 19.
Byul married Haha in 2012, and they have two sons and one daughter.
