Seo In Guk Had To Wear Makeup On His Burning Red Ears While Kissing BLACKPINK’s Jisoo

In a new interview with ELLE Korea, shared via their YouTube channel, Boyfriend On Demand lead Seo In Guk shared a cheeky behind-the-scenes story about his kiss scene with BLACKPINK‘s Jisoo.

Addressing the much-talked-about kiss scene, the K-Pop star-turned-actor offered insight into both the emotional weight of the moment and the challenging conditions on set. Seo In Guk noted, “Jisoo talked about this, too, but there is a moment when the characters reach a kind of awakening, finally deciding to do what their hearts desire.” The passionate kiss that follows, he said, “Felt incredibly heart-fluttering and meaningful.”

But for him, it wasn’t quite the passion that made the shoot memorable.

Out of all the scenes we filmed, the most difficult was definitely the kiss scene where the two finally confirm their feelings for each other…

If you watch closely, you’ll see that my hands weren’t just red—they were almost purple. It was so cold that even my ears turned bright red, and we had to use makeup to cover them up while filming!

Describing it as “a constant battle against the cold,” Seo In Guk added, “My face was completely frozen, to the point that I don’t even remember how I managed to deliver my lines.”  Fortunately, though, with the help of makeup and good acting, viewers were left with only the magic of the couple’s “first kiss” in the snow!
