Two Members Of The Same Active Girl Group Announce Their Pregnancies

Not one but two members of the same girl group have announced their pregnancies and future plans.

Venus Parfait is a Japanese idol group under the agency I-GET who made their stage debut on June 17, 2023. Unlike most idol groups, Venus Parfait’s members aren’t full-time idols. In fact, their idol careers are secondary to their main jobs; they perform as idols on weekends.

Two members, 39-year-old Usaki Yuki and 37-year-old Kawai Fuka, have now announced that they are pregnant and going on maternity leave. Fuka was the first to announce her pregnancy, and she is already on leave.

Yuki recently announced her own pregnancy on Instagram, telling fans that the earlier weeks of her pregnancy were difficult and had forced her to limit her solo work, but she is now in a more stable place physically. This is baby number two for both idols, who are already mothers.

Yuki plans to take a break from performing live by the end of this month, out of caution. Advanced maternal age pregnancies (older than 35 years old) can come with more difficulties than younger pregnancies. As such, Yuki is aware that her second pregnancy might be more challenging than her first.

Both idols plan to return to their idol activities.
