Former EXO’s Tao Sparks Health Concerns With Latest Appearance

Tao, a former member of EXO and now a Chinese businessman, has been caught up in health concern rumors.

Recently, Tao held a livestream with his wife Xu Yiyang, where he communicated with fans. During the broadcast, fans noticed his lips appeared purple and urged him to undergo heart-related tests out of concern.

When Tao initially brushed it off, Xu Yiyang expressed worry, telling him not to dismiss it and to get checked. On April 7, she later reassured fans, saying that Tao had undergone a basic health checkup last year and received normal results, and that he would be getting a comprehensive checkup this year.

Through another livestream on April 9, Tao reinforced that he was feeling fine.

“I’ve already had a health checkup, and there’s nothing wrong with my health. My lip color is due to genetic factors. In the past, my lips even turned purple while swimming.”

Meanwhile, local media cited doctors stating that if purple lips persist alongside symptoms such as chest tightness, difficulty breathing, dizziness, or discoloration of nails and tongue, one should immediately visit a hospital to rule out potential heart, lung, or blood-related issues.

Tao debuted with EXO in 2012 and left the group in 2015 to pursue activities in China. His wife Xu Yiyang is also a former SM Entertainment trainee. The couple went public with their relationship in 2020 and held their wedding last October.
