Actress Kawaei Rina has announced her divorce from actor Hirose Tomoki.
On April 10, Kawaei Rina shared the news through her personal account.
“I’m sorry to share such personal news with everyone who supports me, but we have decided to end our relationship as a married couple and walk our own paths.”
She added that she will continue to do her best both as an actress and as a mother, asking for understanding and warm support moving forward.
On the same day, Hirose Tomoki also addressed the divorce, expressing gratitude for the time they spent building a family together. He stated that his respect for Kawaei Rina remains unchanged.
The two first met while working together in 2018, later developing into a couple and announcing their marriage in May 2019. They have two children together, born in 2019 and 2023.
Kawaei Rina originally debuted as a member of AKB48 in 2010 before transitioning into acting, starring in numerous films and dramas. She also recently met Korean fans through the musical Spirited Away, where she played the role of Chihiro earlier this year.
