What Happened To EXID Hani’s Psychiatrist Fiancé At The Center Of A Patient Death Scandal?
The W Jin Hospital, once operated by psychiatrist and TV personality Yang Jae Woong—who is better known to K-Pop fans as EXID Hani‘s fiancé—has officially gone out of business following a suspension related to a patient death.

According to the Bucheon City Public Health Center in Gyeonggi Province, the hospital filed for permanent closure on April 1, 2026 (KST), later confirmed on April 12. To verify, Star News attempted to contact the hospital but was unsuccessful, hearing only a disconnected line tone.
The hospital, which opened in Bucheon in July 2010, was a psychiatric facility specializing in mental health treatment and alcohol addiction, with a total of 169 beds. However, in September 2023, a woman in her 30s identified as Woman A died after 17 days of hospitalization due to acute intestinal pseudo-obstruction.
At the time, Yang Jae Woong stated that the hospital was fully cooperating with authorities by providing medical records and CCTV footage detailing the incident. However, police arrested the attending physician on charges including professional negligence resulting in death.
Following the incident, the hospital was ordered to suspend operations for three months and remained closed from January through March.

The controversy also impacted Yang Jae Woong’s personal life. His fiancée, Hani of the group EXID, postponed their wedding in the aftermath of the incident. Since then, neither side has provided further updates, leaving the current status of their relationship unclear.
