Recently, BTS‘s V has been romantically linked to IVE‘s Wonyoung, and the dating rumors show no sign of stopping any time soon. Here’s the latest “proof” that the idols are dating, according to netizens.
1. Waffles
The latest wave of rumors began crashing down when V posted a photo of waffles on May 1.
About ten hours later, Wonyoung uploaded a video of herself eating a chocolate waffle, captioned, “Today’s dinner recommendation, chocolate waffle and delicious coffee.”
At the time, many netizens pointed to the age gap between the two as reason enough to dismiss the rumors outright, with some calling the speculation a stretch. V is 30, and Wonyoung is 21.
2. Getting Married?
Just days after V posted his waffle photo, a post claiming that V and Wonyoung are secretly dating went viral. The post pointed out that Wonyoung mentioned Clazziquai’s “Romeo and Juliet” on the paid messaging app Bubble. The post connected that to the song’s history as the theme of MBC‘s We Got Married, suggesting Wonyoung was dropping hints about dating or marriage.

The post also points out that in February 2024, aespa‘s Karina recommended the same song on Bubble, and three days later, Dispatch confirmed she was dating actor Lee Jae Wook.

This post was widely ridiculed by netizens who found the “evidence” completely unconvincing.
3. Lovestagram
A post on Pann went viral after claiming that the alleged couple had been hinting at a relationship through their social media activity.
V shared a photo from a popular Apgujeong restaurant on August 4, 2025, and Wonyoung uploaded a photo from what fans called the “exact same spot” just one day later. According to the original poster, the images were even framed to face one another, fueling speculation that it was intentional.
In another instance, V shared a photo wearing a sheet mask on July 3, with Wonyoung posting a similar shot the following day.
OP also pointed out that both V and Wonyoung have shared similarly styled photos of themselves seated with their phones at GIVN Gym in Cheongdam-dong. Fans further noted that the two idols both follow the gym’s official Instagram account.
The post also included Wonyoung’s Japanese-captioned Instagram post and the one V posted three hours later.
