Photos of two alleged YG Entertainment trainees have gone viral on Pann, prompting heavy criticism over their nationalities.

Earlier this month, YG confirmed a new boy group would debut in Fall 2026, with a formal introduction expected in September. It would be the label’s first boy group since TREASURE in 2020, so interest is already high.

With the debut window getting closer, suspected trainees have started being spotted around the YG building, and some have already been given nicknames online.

Now, two of them appear to have been caught in the crossfire of nationality-based hate from Korean netizens. The original poster claimed one trainee — described as the “visual” of the group — is Chinese, and another is Indonesian.

That was enough to set off a wave of negativity.

While some slammed the OP for mistaking India with Indonesia, others weren’t kind to the two alleged trainees.
