Singer Ailee‘s husband, Choi Si Hoon, confessed that his attitude toward supporting his wife was instilled through early education.
Recently, the couple released a video titled “The daily life of a husband supporting his wife professionally.”
In the video, Choi Si Hoon appeared alone on camera without his wife Ailee, who was out for work. After shopping thriftily at Gyeongdong Market and arriving home, Choi Si Hoon said, “I was so busy I couldn’t clean the house. I think I need to finish cleaning before cooking,” as he busily moved around.
Choi Si Hoon revealed that his supportive behavior toward Ailee, which has become a hot topic, stemmed from early education, saying, “My mother told me, ‘Men should do the housework.’ Having been raised with this from a young age, my body reacts as if it’s natural.”
Choi Si Hoon shared some living tips for surviving as a husband, saying, “There’s a difference in how you’re treated depending on whether you do housework or not. The frequency of nagging changes, and since I end up cleaning anyway, no one complains even if it gets messy.”
Ailee married Choi Si Hoon, a businessman three years her junior and a cast member of Netflix’s Single’s Inferno, in April last year. The couple is currently preparing for IVF to have children.
