A K-Pop idol who gained fame through the famous audition show Produce 101 revealed a behind-the-scenes story about her interaction with a show staff.
On the 18th, the web variety show Zzanbro featured I.O.I members Jeon Somi, Choi Yoojung, Chungha, and Yoo Yeonjung sharing their stories.
That day, the members recalled the reasons they appeared on Produce 101 and reflected on those times. Chungha said, “I had many tougher times during my dance days, so I was calm during the filming. When the writers asked, ‘Why aren’t you crying?’ I responded, ‘Is it time to cry?’”
Yoo Yeonjung said, “I think that’s why she was able to debut. She’s usually very calm, but once she’s on stage, she completely transforms. That actually made her more popular.”
Chungha added, “I truly believed it was my last chance. At that time, I was already an adult, and my family situation wasn’t very comfortable. If this didn’t work out, I would have had to start working part-time jobs to support myself. I didn’t want to be swayed by reality.”
