Production Team Belatedly Clarifies Misunderstanding For Using Stray Kids’ Hyunjin’s Photo

They apologized for the matter.

Recently, a past episode of the criminal documentary series Hidden Eye drew backlash online for using a photo of Stray Kids’ Hyunjin as the victim’s photo.

I’m watching ‘Hidden Eye’, but is this for real? Why are they showing Hyunjin’s photo and saying it’s the victim’s photo? Are they crazy?

Criminal Documentary Series Bashed For Using Popular Idol As The Victim’s Photo

After the post went viral, the show’s production team responded to the matter.

“Hello, this is the production team of ‘Hidden Eye’. We belatedly confirmed that the photo of Stray Kids’ Hyunjin was used in the segment, ‘Live Issue: Christmas Murder Case’, which aired on December 8, 2025.

The photo in question was used because, during the process of using photos stored on the victim’s device, a childhood photo of Hyunjin was mistakenly used as the victim’s photo.

After verifying the facts, the production team has made the relevant broadcast and YouTube clip private. Additionally, we plan to modify or make private the content available on OTT and other replay services as soon as possible. We sincerely apologize for causing concern to Stray Kids’ Hyunjin and his fans. We also deeply apologize to the viewers for the confusion.

From now on, we will conduct a more thorough verification procedure and inspect with special care to prevent these types of incidents from happening again.”
