A Korean star tearfully revealed that she had experienced two heartbreaking miscarriages, including one with twins, during her past in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatments.

On the 2nd, a video titled “Crying Uncontrollably During the Daytime Meeting While Preparing for IVF” was uploaded to the YouTube channel Boriety. In the video, Hwang Bo Ra, who is preparing for her second child, met with comedian Oh Nami and Sung Hyun Joo to share honest stories about pregnancy.

In the video, Sung Hyun Joo opened up about her IVF journey, confessing the physical and mental pain she endured. She said, “I had IVF seven times. I miscarried twins once in the middle and had another miscarriage, totaling two miscarriages,” eliciting sympathy.

Sung Hyun Joo shared, “When I lost both twins, I decided I really couldn’t continue anymore. I realized that getting pregnant wasn’t the end, so I took a year off because I thought I couldn’t do it anymore.”

However, her longing for a child did not fade easily. She added, “But IVF is like an addiction. I had no money left. I thought I’d try just once more, eating whatever I wanted and being relaxed, and then finally there were two strong lines [on the pregnancy test].” She revealed this miraculous moment of successful pregnancy after much effort, moving viewers deeply.
