The group’s members have already expressed the hard work that went into their upcoming release, their first studio album, leaving fans surprised by their openness and honesty.

HYBE Idol’s Raw Thoughts About “Giving Up” Spark Heartbreak

The video began with them in the studio while discussing hope for the upcoming album, interspersed with the group’s thoughts on their development. Leader Myung Jaehyun‘s thoughts that the group were not one that would be able to take the “easy way” seemed to set the mood for the rest of the video.

While writing lyrics, members Riwoo, Taesan, and Woonhak brainstormed, and Riwoo considers lyrics mentioning that the group were bold due to being under HYBE. Taesan adds to the thought questioning similar lyrics.

Reflecting on them, Riwoo frankly shares his thoughts that for a group under a major label, they “fell pretty short,” mentioning that they didn’t chart.

Fans discussed the honesty in their thoughts, hopeful that the group would gain more recognition from their upcoming release.

The group’s album titled, Home, will be released on June 8.
