The university began a thorough investigation regarding Jung Yonghwa’s admission.

Kyunghee University has withdrawn CNBLUE Jung Yonghwa‘s admission into their graduate program after his admissions scandal.

News reports state that Kyunghee University decided to cancel his admission after discovering the truth behind his controversy.

After it was revealed that a professor personally contacted FNC Entertainment about Yonghwa’s enrollment, the said professor has been stepped down from his post.

The professor had filed an application for an interview in the College of Art and Design department in January 2017. He was involved in alleged forgery of official documents according to a police investigation.

He will have to rescind his professorship.

The university also announced that they will be thoroughly investing the preferential admissions process of singer Seo Kyung Man.

A group of 10 officials, including the vice chancellor of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the dean of the graduate school and the director of the university, have gathered to discuss the consequences and actions regarding the controversy.
