World Record Olympian Skater Evgenia Medvedeva Credits EXO As Her Inspiration

The world record-setting figure skating queen said EXO inspired her to become more confident in herself.

Evgenia Medvedeva is an Olympian figure skater from Russia and she just recently set a new world record at the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics.

She broke her previous world record of 80.85, which she set in Tokyo just last year, with 81.06 in the short programs.

When asked what helped her achieve such astounding records, she revealed that she’s a huge fan of EXO and that they’re a source of inspiration for her performances!

“I enjoy listening to EXO. I’ve gotten much happier thanks to EXO, and I was able to compete well thanks to them.” — Evgenia Medvedeva

She desperately wanted to meet them as a fan and even revealed just how big of a fan she is.

“I really want to see [EXO]. I have all the photos of every member.” — Evgenia Medvedeva

And according to other EXO-Ls, Evengia will be able to do just that! She was apparently invited to meet them backstage at the closing ceremonies and even received a signed copy of their album!

Not only is she a big EXO-L, Evgenia is a huge otaku as she enjoys watching anime in her free time. She’s even skated as Sailor Moon in Japan!

Fans were ecstatic to learn that one of the most famous Olympian was relatable in so many ways!
