Georgetown University To Begin Investigation On Roy Kim

They are beginning their own investigation.

Georgetown University has announced that they will be conducting an investigation on their student, Roy Kim, who recently admitted to spreading sexually lewd content in Jung Joon Young‘s chatroom.

On April 10, Roy Kim was summoned to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency for questioning as a suspect. The police suspect that he shared/distributed sexually lewd content in a KakaoTalk chatroom that included male celebrities including Jung Joon Young. Roy Kim has reportedly confessed that he shared photos that he downloaded online and that he did not take the photos.

One day before Roy Kim’s investigation, Georgetown University announced that they will be conducting a thorough investigation to evaluate his case sensitively and fairly.

According to the university’s official website, sexual misconduct is strictly prohibited and may result in disciplinary suspension or even dismissal.

 

Roy Kim had one month left until his graduation but it seems likely that his graduation will be delayed due to ongoing investigations.
