IZ*ONE’s Jo Yuri And Choi Yena Are Such Soulmates They’re Everyone’s BFF Goals

#yulyen is real.

IZ*ONE‘s Jo Yuri and Choi Yena have been close friends since their Produce 48 trainee days. Even after the two debuted as K-Pop’s rising girl group, their friendship remained strong. Yuri and Yena admit that they’re like soulmates, and are now IZ*ONE fans’ BFF goals!

Yuri and Yena, through an interview, pointed out that the show Produce 48 really brought them close. Yena first approached Yuri during the show and that marked the beginning of something beautiful!

We were in A level together. When we dropped in levels, we did that together too. So we spent a lot of time with each other and that brought us really close together.

— Yuri

Yena believes Yuri is her “mirror”. In other words, Yena and Yuri have so much in common and that they don’t have to say anything – they already know what each other is thinking. This level of connection is of soulmates, and so these two are convinced they were meant to be BFFs!

I don’t have to say anything to Yuri, we’re already on the same page. I’m still amused by how well we connect. It’s like looking into a mirror.

— Yena

According to Yuri, Yena is like real family. She recalled one time when Yena financially helped Yuri out when she had no money to buy anything at the market. In little moments like that, Yuri said she feels Yena is like her older sister.

For Yena, Yuri is an unending source of encouragement and support.

Yuri will always tell me something to support me, when I’m feeling less confident about myself. And she tells me like she means them. She also gives me realistic advice and that helps. It makes me think our relationship is real, and for that I am so grateful.

— Yena

Fans love how these girls have come to have found each other through the show and on to the same group. Yena and Yuri are proof that soulmates are real – and that true, solid best friendships like theirs do exist!
