BTS’s J-Hope Makes Huge Donation In Support Of Disabled Children In Celebration Of His Birthday

BTS‘s J-Hope made a large donation to Child Fund Korea in support of children with disabilities in celebration of his birthday, pledging ₩150 million KRW ($135,657 USD).

According to Child Fund Korea’s representatives, J-Hope made a donation of ₩150 million KRW ($135,657 USD) to the organization to be used for child care, education, and social support service fees for vision and hearing disabled children whose families are in struggling economic situations.

As a member of the Green Noble Club, an elite group of individuals who have donated over ₩100 million KRW ($90,438 USD), he felt like he had to help the members of the future of Korea who have some disabilities.

I heard that the number of families in vulnerable situations is increasing significantly due to the prolonged COVID-19 crisis, and support for disabled children is urgently needed.

I hope this donation will further expand social interest in supporting children with disabilities.

Back in 2018, J-Hope became the 146th member of the Green Hope Club. Throughout his career, he has made multiple generous donations, such as ₩150 million KRW to support cultivation of talent in 2018, ₩100 million KRW in scholarships in 2019, and ₩100 million to support families who were struggling during the initial wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.

Child Fund Korea’s chairman Lee Je Hoon also thanked J-Hope for his generous donation.

Through the regular donations made by global star BTS’s J-Hope, interest in children who are suffering from economic difficulties is increasing, and his good influence is leading to increased inquiries in donating by both domestic and foreign ARMY.

Child Fund Korea will also do our best to support children from low-income families in accordance with the wishes of all our donors, including J-Hope.
