BTS Reveal How Their “LOVE YOURSELF” Campaign Helped Them Love Themselves

It was a journey of self-love!

UNICEF just Korea announced it had renewed its partnership with Big Hit Entertainment and BTS.

BTS took the opportunity to talk about the message behind their LOVE MYSELF campaign, which the group launched in 2017.

The members also spoke more personally about how much of an impact the campaign has on their own personal lives.

Leader RM began by saying how much he believed the campaign had impacted not only his life but that of his other members.

Jin mirrored that sentiment emphasizing that he believed that he should be the first to follow the campaign and share how much he has grown.

I should begin by loving myself more and always kept love myself at the forefront of my thoughts. It helped me to understand how precious the people around me were.

In the interview, Jimin spoke honestly about the differences he had seen in himself before and after the campaign started.

He initially thought the campaign was for the people around them but quickly saw the changes that happened within himself.

Before the campaign, I just vaguely thought I’d rather see genuine joy instead of forced smiles or tears. Now, I came to ask myself if my smile is also genuine.

V also mentioned how important the campaign was in his own personal relationships, saying, “I realized how much love I’m receiving, and that has made me love myself more and love others more.”

More importantly, the members continued to repeat the idea of self-love. J-Hope and Jungkook emphasized that the campaign has helped them reflect on themselves and learn to love who they are!

Jungkook finished with some words on his happiness when fans told them how positively the campaign impacted them!

Even though Suga was not present, RM explained that he shared the sentiment and wanted to return their fans’ love!
