I think I did kind of imagine something a bit more dynamic. But I was…we did a live [broadcast] for our fans, and the live ended, and there was a good 15-minute gap. Then they asked me to chat with my fans and I was doing that, and then I had to confirm something; somebody sent a picture that I had to confirm.

And then they were like, “The video’s out!”

Rosé further shared that she regretfully didn’t have her friends or family with her when her solo dropped, but was super thankful for the supportive presence of her close coworkers with her!

I only had the camera crew around me. I actually didn’t have any of my family and friends. But thankfully, I had some of my very close coworkers, and we were like, “It’s [the MV] out!”

We didn’t even know how to react because we’ve been waiting for it to come out for so long, so we were just like, “It’s out!”

Rosé’s big moment didn’t end up happening the way she imagined, but she’s ecstatic about her solo all the same!
