The post went viral, but had netizens hugely divided.
Some fans found it weird, especially amid his request for her to do a cat pose, saying that while older people can enjoy music, it seems odd at fansigns due to the amount of money it normally takes to attend.

I was gonna say this is normal until I saw that he asked for the cat pose. An older guy can appreciate young talent, he can go there and tell her that her music is nice or healing or whatever, but asking for poses is a no no. This applies if genders were reversed too

Yet many defended the fan, saying that it wasn’t wrong for older people to like idols and that there always seemed to be double standards regarding male versus female fans who attended events for much younger stars.
