Lee Seung Gi considering lead role for upcoming MBC drama “Kill Me Heal Me”
Lee Seung Gi is reportedly looking into his next drama role, having been offered the lead role of the upcoming MBC drama Kill Me Heal Me.
According to the rounded entertainer’s agency, Hook Entertainment, on November 18th, “We are still coordinating the final details for Lee Seung Gi’s appearance on Kill Me Heal Me.”
Kill Me Heal Me is highly anticipated as it is written by Jin Soo Hwan, who was responsible for the hit drama The Moon Embraces the Sun, and is set to be directed by Kim Jin Man PD of Scandal: A Shocking and Wrongful Incident.
The upcoming drama is also a Chinese-Korean co-production with Chinese company Huace Media, and has a production cost of 15 billion won.
Previously, rumors of actor Hyun Bin taking the lead role were spread, to which he has denied participation. But it seems that Lee Seung Gi is possibly up for the lead male role instead.
The drama follows the story of a third generation chaebol (business conglomerate family) who suffers from Disassociative Identity Disorder (DID), or multiple identities, and has a total of seven personalities, and falls in love with his psychiatrist.
Kill Me Heal Me is set to air on MBC in January 2014 following the end of the current drama Mister Baek.
