“Real Men” reveals true body measurements of female idol recruits
The January 25th broadcast of MBC’s Real Men second female special revealed the truth behind the height and weight of the female celebrities, leaving them surprised and with embarrassed smiles because they were heavier than their supposed weights.
Each member of the second female special edition participated in a medical examination prior to enlistment. As part of the medical examination procedure, the ladies were asked to take height and weight measurements. As the show was a reality program, the producers did not hide the true numbers and decided to reveal these statistics to the viewers.
In particular, the idol-representative, Apink’s Yoon Bomi, was 50.6kg on that day, which was 5.6kg heavier than the 45kg that is listed on her official profile.
Actress Kim Ji Young showed results with the biggest difference, being 11.4kg heavier than the 45kg on her profile.
In terms of height, actress Kang Ye Won had the greatest discrepancy of being 162.2cm instead of the reported 165cm, weighing in at 47.85kg.
While the other female recruits showed an average height of 163cm to 165cm, actress Lee Da Hee proved her superior height of 175cm. She was weighted at 55.5kg, with the smallest difference of being 1.5kg heavier.
Actress Park Ha Sun was close as well, being 47.1kg at a height of 163.9cm, heavier than her reported weight by 2.1kg.
Lee Ji Ae was 51.7kg at 163cm, f(x)’s Amber was 56.1kg at 165.9cm, while comedian Ahn Young Mi was 52.4kg at 162.4cm.
In the same episode, Amber also burst out into tears due to difficult military terms and language barrier, showing a different side of her usual outgoing character as seen in the previous episode with Henry.
