Idol Who Debuted At 8 Years Old Announces Her Marriage And Pregnancy

She’s beginning a new chapter of her life.

A former girl group member has shared some exciting news with fans; she has married a non-celebrity man and is expecting a child.

Sekine Azusa is a Japanese singer and a former member of two idol girl groups, Up Up Girls (Kakko Kari) and Hello Pro Egg. She debuted in Hello Pro Egg, a trainee group under the Hello! Project umbrella, in 2004 and left the group six years later, in 2011. Azusa’s time with Up Up Girls (Kakko Kari) began in 2011 and ended nearly thirteen years later, in 2023, when she left the group to focus on her health. She made her solo debut in 2024.

In total, Azusa has been an idol for 21 years, since she was 8 years old. Now, the 29-year-old star is beginning a new chapter of her life with her husband. She personally announced the news on social media.

This is a personal matter, but I would like to report that I have gotten married. I am also blessed to be expecting a new life. I will continue to face my work sincerely and cherish each day.
