Girl Group Embark On “Maternity Tour” After All Getting Pregnant At The Same Time
While babies are a blessing for those who want them, they often slow down celebrities’ work activities. For members of music groups, specifically female ones, this can also be the end of their time as idols as they focus on motherhood, though many have returned to the spotlight after.
In 2023, the Japanese girl band Hump Back, announced they were going on a hiatus, as one of the members had gotten pregnant. In May 2024, the group made a shocking announcement — all of the members had gotten pregnant and given birth to healthy babies!
As expected, the group did not instantly return to activities, instead slowing ramping up for their return with a new song titled “明るい葬式.” Now, their “unorthodox” ways of promoting have grown to include a tour!
The group announced they would hold a concert in December 2024, titled Maternity Leave Thank You.
This has since expanded to an entire tour, with the group currently performing across Japan as a way of thanking fans for waiting during their “Maternity Leave.”
