Graduate Student Exposes Secret Gay Relationship With Married Professor In Viral 104-Page Slideshow
A graduate student at Beijing Institute of Technology, Chang Xuqiang, accused his married professor, Gong Lin, of having a secret gay relationship with him and emotionally manipulating him.

Chang posted a 104-page online slideshow featuring nude photos, chat logs, and details of gifts, claiming the relationship began in 2021 and became sexual in 2023.

He said Gong, who was vice-president of the School of Mechanical Engineering, showed favoritism by leaking interview questions and helping him gain academic opportunities. Chang also claimed that Gong’s persistent attention caused him depression and anxiety.

Within 24 hours of the post going viral, the university confirmed the misconduct, dismissed Gong, expelled him from the Communist Party, and reported him to authorities to revoke his teaching credentials.

In China, it is not illegal for teachers to engage in sexual affairs with students. However, it can violate China’s educational code of conduct and lead to career-ending consequences as it did for Gong.

The scandal has sparked a debate among netizens: Some defend Chang and find the relationship inappropriate while others accuse him of knowingly benefiting from the relationship.
