A Korean tourist is going viral online after a video showed him dramatically failing to jump off a boat — and falling straight into a Thailand river instead.
On July 27, a video posted to X (formerly Twitter) began making waves among Korean and Thai netizens. The clip, which quickly spread across social media platforms, captures the man attempting to leap off a moving ferry before it had fully docked at the pier.

Needless to say, things did not go as planned. As the boat approaches the pier, the man tries to leap to the dock. Instead of a smooth landing, he missteps and plunges directly into the river, flailing into the water as shocked passengers and staff look on.
Thankfully, he was rescued shortly after, and no injuries were reported. The video has sparked a wave of reactions online, with many calling it a huge embarrassment to Korea.
