An Asian couple recently took over the internet with sneak peeks of their royal-style wedding, estimated to have cost millions of dollars.

The newlyweds in question are Ryan Harris, the sole heir of former AirAsia Indonesia president Pin Harris, and Gwen Ashley Widodo, the daughter of a real estate tycoon. The two tied the knot on November 18 in a lavish ceremony that is reported to have cost IDR 90 billion Rupiah, which is equivalent to around USD 5.7 million Dollars!

The wedding took place at the Westin Surabaya in Surabaya City, Indonesia. Over 2,000 people attended the ceremony and reportedly received extravagant door gifts from Hermรจs worth USD 268 Dollars each. Added up, the cost of these gifts alone turns out to be USD 536,000 Dollars.

The 35-year-old groom and 19-year-old bride also splurged on a lavish wedding photoshoot and flew to Paris for it. Pictures showed the couple posing in front of the Eiffel Towe and the Palace of Versailles, matching the grandeur of the actual wedding.

Apart from luxury gifts, the ceremony also treated guests to live performances by world-renowned artists. Nicole Scherzinger, the former member of Pussycat Dolls, graced the stage at the wedding, as did other celebrities such as Brian McFadden from Westlifeย and Keith Duffy of Boyzlife. The UK boyband The Wanted were also spotted at the wedding.
