“We Miss Him” — Convicted Ex-Idol Kris Wu Makes Viral “Appearance” At Famous Musician’s Concert
In 2012, Kris Wu (Wu Yi Fan) made his debut as a member of EXO, though he later left the group in 2014. After this, Kris had a successful career in China, appearing in films and collaborating with Western artists, among other accolades.

However, in 2021, allegations of sexual assault led to Kris Wu being tried and convicted of the rape of three women and assembling a crowd to engage in promiscuous activities, receiving a 13-year sentence for the two charges. He was also fined 600 million yuan (around 84 million USD) for tax evasion.

Recently, however, the former idol made an appearance at a concert and went viral.
American rapper Travis Scott is currently touring Asia on his Circus Maximus Tour and has performed in multiple cities in China. Scott collaborated with Kris Wu in 2017 for the track “Deserve,” which made Billboard‘s US Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.

During one of the rapper’s concerts, the crowd was shown on camera as he performed, with focus placed on a person in the audience wearing a T-shirt that read “Free Kris Wu.” The camera remained on the person who flashed the slogan on the shirt for a while.
While some of the comments were rightfully put off, some, surprisingly, expressed messages of support towards the convicted rapist.

Kris Wu is currently serving out his sentence in China and will be deported to Canada after he is released.
