Actor Gets Edited Out Of Popular Drama After Admitting To Marijuana Use And Arrest
On September 3, it was reported that Japanese actor Shimizu Hiroya was arrested for allegedly possessing marijuana.

Shimizu, known for starring in the Tokyo Revengers film series and appearing in Netflix‘s live-action of Yu Yu Hakusho, was accused of possessing plant material containing marijuana in his home after a tip sparked suspicions. On September 3, police searched his home and seized what is believed to be marijuana, rolling papers, and other smoking paraphernalia.
The actor and his alleged live-in girlfriend were arrested the same day.

Initial reports claimed that Shimizu said that “there was no doubt” he used marijuana, and recent ones claim that he confessed.
According to Asahi Shimbun, Shimizu admitted that he first tried the drug while studying in Los Angeles at age 20 and began using it more frequently after returning to Japan. His usage of the drug allegedly increased after he started to book more jobs, and his income increased.

His agency has also stated the situation and apologized for any inconvenience.
