New Year’s Couple: Actress Announces Her Marriage To A Scriptwriter
It’s a new year, and some celebrities are kicking off 2026 with updates about their love lives!
One of these celebrities is Matsuda Ruka, a 30-year-old Japanese actress. Since 2016, she has appeared in films, TV series, and stage productions, including Dear Radiance (2024) and Knuckle Girl (2023).
On January 2, Ruka announced her marriage to her husband, theatre director and scriptwriter Tani Aoto. In her statement, posted on social media, Ruka thanked her fans for their support and revealed endearing details about her relationship. She stated that she and Aoto will likely have a lively home life together, since they’re both loud, talkative, and expressive people. Together, they’re endeavouring to cherish life’s small moments of happiness and while standing strong against any future challenges they might face.
Unlike Ruka, Aoto isn’t directly in the spotlight, despite working in entertainment. His best-known works include Ashita wa motto, Ii Hi ni naru (2025), #who am I (2023), and News Anchor (2025).
