On February 17, Ayase went viral on X (formerly Twitter) for exposing the low-quality toilet paper at Sony Music’s headquarters.

The toilet paper at Sony Music’s headquarters is so hard it tore my anus to shreds.

— Ayase

His tweet attracted plenty of attention from netizens…

…but also a fellow artist. ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION frontman Masafumi Gotoh compared Sony Music’s toilet paper to sandpaper.

The toilet paper at Sony Music is the hard, thin single-ply kind that’s like sandpaper. I want them to switch to double-ply.

— Masafumi Gotoh
