On January 5, Hao Yan Entertainment announced Yu’s dismissal in an official statement, stating that Yu had not been in contact with them since May 9, 2025. According to the agency, Yu has breached her contract by not responding to their phone calls or messages since May 9, failing to attend training sessions, and not attending her performing and promotional work schedules.

Hao Yan Entertainment stated that this has caused substantial losses for the agency, and Yu’s contract has been terminated accordingly. They also intend to take any applicable legal action for the damages they have incurred.
