Popular Actress’s Swiftly Deleted Post Sparks Dating Rumors With Her Co-Star

For better or for worse, the internet is forever. Deleted posts have a way of coming back, especially for people in the public eye, including an actress who is rumored to be romantically involved with her co-star.

Zhang Ruonan is a Chinese actress who is best known for her roles in the films Cry Me a Sad River, My Love, and Love Life Light, as well as the 2025 series The First Frost. In The First Frost, Zhang plays the female lead: a news reporter and the male lead’s high school love.

Actor Bai Jingting plays the male lead, the co-owner of a restaurant and a video game company’s team leader. After years apart, his character and Zhang’s reunite after accidentally renting the same apartment. The series, dubbed the “Hottest Youth Idol C-Drama” of 2025, received widespread recognition as well as praise for Zhang and Bai’s chemistry.

Given that Zhang and Bai are such a beloved on-screen couple, dating rumors about the pair have been circulating online, with netizens latching onto “evidence” that supports the possibility that Zhang and Bai are dating in real life.

Recently, Zhang uploaded a photoset in which she wore a blue GOODBAI T-shirt. GOODBAI just so happens to be a brand owned by Bai. Bai previously wore a similar shirt in a video where he and Zhang played a duet on the piano. Some netizens have speculated that Zhang’s shirt is actually Bai’s since it appears to be oversized on Zhang but might fit Bai.

Zhang’s post wasn’t on Weibo long. The star deleted her post, but not before it added more fuel to the dating rumors’ fire.
