Zhao Lusi Tearfully Shares Career Update Amid Birthday Celebration
Actress Zhao Lusi recently celebrated her 27th birthday with fans with a special concert on the evening of November 8. However, the occasion doubled as a celebration of her new career milestone and her freedom.

During the birthday concert, Zhao treated her fans to a flashy stage setup, glamorous costumes, and remarkable performances that showcased both her singing and acting abilities. But then the mood shifted immediately as she paused to address the audience, tearing up while recalling her extreme predicament just a few months ago.
Actually, a couple of months ago, I really felt that I might not be able to be an actress anymore. Now, standing here again, I’m so happy, because it was so hard before. But with all of you here, even being sick doesn’t matter, because I can still do what I want to do.

As the room went silent, she announced through tears of joy that her new studio had been officially established. This moment marked a decided farewell to her previous agency, Galaxy Cool Entertainment.

As per reports, in December 2024, during the filming of Lovers, Zhao Lusi suddenly fell ill and ended up in a wheelchair, prompting her studio to announce a suspension of all work. Subsequent diagnoses revealed that she had developed severe depression and anxiety due to long-term high-pressure work. In August 2025, Zhao Lusi publicly accused her former agency, Galaxy Cool Entertainment, at one point announcing, “I’m done,” and deactivated her personal Weibo account.
On August 13, in response to Galaxy Cool Entertainment’s denial of physically abusing her, Zhao made horrifying revelations about the direct abuse she endured.
It was simply because I didn’t get any roles. They yelled at me in the bathroom for three hours. People were drunk, chased me out, pulled my hair, and slapped me. Do we want everyone to come forward to confirm this?

Having fought through such horrific conditions, Zhao’s success in opening her own studio is a remarkable achievement in its own right. After the birthday concert, her studio posted a long message on Weibo announcing her official return and the start of a new phase of her career.
